Let me know if I can help. At a rate of 150, she may have an abnormal heart rhythm called atrial flutter. If my assumption is correct, then they may not find anything wrong with her heart like clogged arteries or weak heart muscle. They may do blood tests to check for an over active thyroid gland. Hopeully all of that looks ok if all those tests look ok, then they may do a heart ultrasound called an echo and if everything looks good, they can do what is called RFA (radio frequency ablation) to get rid of the problem permanently without having to take medicine for it for life Success rates are pretty good and it is done under conscious sedation. It is not painful. Call me if you need to talk or just aren't sure what the docs are saying. At least i can try to explain it in plain English. We don't always do a good job of explaining things in simple terms. But I guarantee any explanation will be easier to figure out than Langford's forums. Glad to talk to your family or your sister too if there is something y'all don't understand.

Thinking of your family, Richie!!! Richie, i have been through this procedure the Dr. is speaking of about 7 years ago. I checked in around 7:00am and was released around 6:00 pm. Worked from home the next day. If i remember correctly they were more concerened that veins and/or arteries that they did the procedure through healed enough before they let me go home.

Okay. I don't mean to make light of the situation, and will certainly keep him and the rest of the family in my prayers, but...

Isn't having blood behind your eye a GOOD thing???
