If there was ever such a thing as a typical Arkansas duck season in my mind, last year was it. We started strong, had a tough mid-season, and then ran out the later part of season on a heater. Overall, our average number of ducks killed per hunter per day was almost dead-on our average (down only .15 d/h/d). We averaged 6.7 hunters per day hunting 1.9 locations per day (also close to average). With all of the different places we have to hunt, coupled with our love of hitting the public lands mid-week, we're able to rotate and rest our properties to help us have as good of hunting conditions as nature allows. More importantly though, we enjoyed good times hunting and good company. It was a good year all-around. 4 bands in the club - 5 if you count the reward band - didn't hurt anything either.
