Licenses
You’ll need to have a current Arkansas Hunting License (available online), State & Federal Duck Stamps, and H.I.P. registration. There is usually no problem getting these here, after you arrive, but we strongly recommend getting them in advance, as duck stamps are occasionally in short supply during the hunting season.
Shotgun & Shotshells
We recommend #2, #1, or BB steel shot (depending on our hunting location), or #5 or #4 Hevi-Shot, Tungsten or Bismuth. Bring some BB, BBB, or T if you want to shoot geese, too.
Warm Clothing
The temperature is usually in the 30's or warmer, but sometimes it turns bitterly cold and wet, particularly in the late-season, so be prepared for the worst.
Waterproof Boots
Knee or Hip boots will do in most situations, but we encourage you to bring along a good pair of chest waders for added comfort and convenience.
Dogs
If you've got a hunting companion you want to bring we'd love to see him in action. All we ask is that you only bring dogs that are under control. Everyone loves to hunt with a good gun dog, but nobody wants a dog in the blind that is out of control raising safety concerns and flaring ducks.
Duck Calls
If you like to call, we'd love to listen well, usually!
